La Chapronnais 

We have just returned from 7 days at La Chapronnais, what can I say, this place is stunning, the couple who run it Alan and Donna (English) have done a magnificent job of restoring this beautiful house, we arrived to be greeted by both Alan and Donna, who immediately settled us in to our room which was beautiful with tea and coffee making facilities and the en-suite was stunning too, we had full use of the garden which has lots of fruit trees and a fantastic vegetable garden that Alan lovingly tends with views over open fields, we sat in the sunshine and had a few glasses of wine in the extensive gardens, our first breakfast was of continental style with the usual food, cheese,ham,yoghurt, pastries, coffee tea and beautiful fresh fruit from Alan's garden, the strawberries were to die for. La Chapronnais is within easy reach of Dinan which we visited, it has a vibrant market place every Thursday, which has all sorts of wares and a whole part dedicated to French foods Dinan is a lovely City to visit and I can recommend the trip on the La Petit train, there are lots of other villages and cities within easy reach from La Chapronnais, if you are a fisherman the there are also a few lakes within easy reach where you can fish, on our return we were again welcomed back by Alan and Donna who chatted with us about the restoration of their property which Alan, who is a builder of 40 years, carried out, also Donna pointed out that she did labour for Alan everyday,after a chat Alan invited me to have a game of snooker on the full sizes snooker table in the salon, it also has a dart board and TV with easy chairs and patio doors to the front garden, all in all if you book this B&B I promise you will not be disappointed, one thing I did find a little odd, the price it is definitely too CHEAP, thank you Al and Donna for the lovely stay we had at your beautiful home/B&B..
