Met with friends here for a pre Christmas meal. What a lovely and efficient team of staff! Very welcoming and attentive. Menu and specials board offerred more than enough variety to cater for our group of seven... and the choice of desserts! I've never seen a pudding menu so long. I enjoyed a 'free from' chocolate orange torte, which was exceptional. Will absolutely be back.

Had a late check in (11pm) after playing a show at the local Henrician Theatre in Evesham. Nothing was too much trouble. Welcoming after a long day. Was shown to our room which was lovely. Very clean and comfy.

Breakfast served in the on site cafe.
Superb!!

Lovely Pub, helpful staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Some really first class dishes served, always something to suit our tastes.

We have dined here a lot in recent years and always found it very satisfactory.

The adjacent Tea Shop also a wonderful treat

A first for us, eating out on Christmas Day. Beforehand, my thoughts were, this could be great, or terrible. I needn’t have worried. From the moment we arrived (into a packed pub), the service was amazing, we were seated and drinks order sorted. A bowl of chestnuts appeared pronto - I’m not a massive fan of chestnuts but it was a nice opener. We had both chosen scallops for our starter, delicious and prepared just right. But the big shout out is for the main course. We both had turkey. Lovely, succulent meat, perfect veg (absolutely no pre cooking and keeping warm here, these were freshly cooked), all round good food. Puddings (we barely had space) were equally delicious .
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. For a pub to (mass) produce Christmas lunch on this scale, to this standard, takes a lot of skill. Plus the waiting staff were brilliant too, and cheerful!
Great job Louise and team

Five stars, fantastic. Service and food was perfect, I’d highly recommend the fish pie. Cooked just right and packed with fish and huge prawns in a beautiful creamy sauce. 10/10. Lovely atmosphere with an attentive and friendly front of house team.

We ate at the Oak at the start of October for a birthday dinner. They happily accommodated 12 of us and were generally the loveliest people. The food was great and plentiful, resulting in a full table of very happy French people. I would love to go again.

Exceptional. We came for their sold out “Spanish Tapas and Paella” night. Fantastic environment, cheerful, helpful staff and the food was superb. All 5 of us enjoyed all of the courses, which were great value for money! £25 for sharing platter starters, Paella main and churros for desert. There wasn’t a spare seat in the whole place so I’d definitely advise booking!

We eat here quite often and can highly recommend the steaks, excellent value and taste. Tonight we had a dessert the Affogato, as good a dessert as I have ever had, just hope it's on the menu next week.

We called ahead to see if we could eat outdoors (being at risk) and were able to reserve a table.

Upon arrival we were greeted by staff wearing face shields and were able to pick a table in either the Oak’s beer garden or the decking outside the Twisted Spoon.

We were very happy to see that the quality of service and food is still very high. The Worcestershire sausages are great!

We had a lovely meal in a safe environment and felt well cared for. Thank you for making my first outing since lockdown a really lovely one.

We had a takeaway last week for my husband's birthday being as pubs and restaurants are currently closed - we both had sirloin steak which was lovely followed by a sticky toffee pudding which was to die for!!! Would definitely recommend.

Christmas Day lunch - fabulous

Initially was a little confused over the difference between The Oak and the Twisted Spoon i.e. seems to be two restaurants in the same location/building. Seems one is more cafe and one more pub? But i could have that wrong. We were told we could get the same menu in both (once we had strayed towards The Oak 'pub'.
All very pleasant and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Food was very good. I mean not 'haute cuisine' but exactly what we were looking for from a lunchtime pub meal. Came quickly as well. All very reasonably priced.
Bottom line; very enjoyable and would recommend.

A really pleasant lunchtime pub visit!

We had booked one of the side-rooms off the bar for a big (~20 people) family afternoon to celebrate a special birthday. All went extremely well and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. They were easily able to cope with various special dietary requirements (gluten-free, lactose-free) and produced an excellent spread, with the usual courteous, helpful and efficient service.
This is our local pub, so I am not going to write a review every time we drop in for a drink or meal, however, this afternoon tea was worth a special mention.
One niggle: the smokers' area is immediately outside the front door, so it can be very unpleasant to have to walk through their clouds of smoke to get in and out. Also smoking and vaping seems to be allowed in the garden, so find a space upwind of them.

Splendid afternoon tea.

We ate here twice whilst staying nearby and had good food on both occasions. Friendly staff. The first evening we had pies as it was pie week. I had the four cheese and sundried tomato one, my friend the sausage and apple. Both came with chunky chips and perfectly cooked veg - carrots, fennel and sugar snap peas. My only comment would be that I’d prefer to have my gravy in a jug and pour my own, instead of having gravy over everything.

The second evening we ate from the specials menu: my friend had the duck and I had the stuffed butternut squash. Lots of choice of food with an a la carte menu, a tapas-style menu as well as the specials board.

Good choice of food

Fantastic evening.

Had a great dinner here with family.
Sat in gardens for drinks before we went inside to eat where they have igloo style pods with patio heaters if you want to be outside even when cold.
Staff nice and friendly, attentive but not overly so.
Good choice of food and in really comfortable surroundings.
Reasonably priced too.
