Pension Michaela 

Officially a B&B/pension, but the accommodation and hospitality here would put any four-star hotel to shame. We were in Apartment 2, which looked freshly renovated - the kitchen was brand new and finished to a very high standard: designer steam oven (!!), nespresso machine, electric kettle, all the cookware you can think of, solid wood furniture, etc. It was a very welcoming, comfortable and highly functional place for longer stays. The unobstructed view of the mountains from the large balcony is exactly what you come to Lech for. All modern comforts were well taken care of: strong, stable shower; comfortable mattress (not to hard); perfect WiFi; sockets beside the bed; no noise intrusion. So sleep quality was very high. Just bring an eye mask if you normally use one because the curtains are thin. The contact with the hosts was everything it should be in a family-fun, smaller hotel: attentive, personable and efficient. The easygoing banter with the proprietors would be reason enough to return. They treated us like valued regulars from the moment we arrived (even though this was our first time). Breakfast was epic too. The scrambled eggs with bacon, peppers and chanterelles were so good that we asked for seconds. They clearly have a very talented chef. Otherwise, it is the usual continental breakfast selection, with proper coffee and an emphasis on sourcing locally. If you're planning on visiting Skyspace, this hotel is on the marked path which leads directly to it (around 15 minutes on foot). The hotel is a well signposted, straight run from the cable car station too.
