Les Battees 

This review is long overdue. But I stumbled upon a picture that reminded me of an amazing vacation that included several days at Les Battees. The rooms were simple, but great. The decor was local - not from a cookie cutter global brand. Everyone in my party - all six of us - absolutely loved it. The breakfast was simple and setup in a way that we felt like we were entering our own kitchen and dining room. The staff was nowhere to be seen - that's how they operate. They want you to feel at home - and we did. We went to the nearby towns and the Roman amphitheater, toured wineries, walked for miles, and had an amazing wonderful time. And the FOOD!! The food was spectacular. The presentation! The service! The taste! The quality! All of the evening meals we had were fantastic. We would talk during the day amongst ourselves - wondering what exciting dish we were going to have that evening! If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, or even a Hampton Inn, this isn't it. It's much better than both of those - in its own eclectic fantastic way. Would I stay again? Absolutely. Without question.
