Hotel Restaurant LAventure

Although this is a hotel it was just a very short walk from my hotel Ajoncs d'Or,and wanted to eat and as I have mobility problems was great. Had the special, steak frites and a glass of wine and bill was 15 Euros.

Hotel L'Aventure is a Restaurant with small number of bedrooms in the centre of the old walled town of Saint Malo. Very close to the embarcation point for boat excursions, and only 10 minutes walk from the Ferry Terminal.
The staff were always friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable with small flat screen tv (French Channels only) and free Wifi. I believe some rooms have shared facilities, but I chose a room with an en-suite Bathroom, with a lovely modern shower, Wash Basin, Hairdryer, and WC.

Very Pleasant Restaurant with rooms for a good value for money stay within the Walls

great find

My confirmation email said I could check in from 3pm. I arrived around 4pm. The restaurant below the rooms was closed and it was 5pm before anyone was present to give me my keys.
There was space alongside to park my motorcycle so I locked everything away and used the time to explore the vicinity for a likely place to dine and of necessary, place to stay. See my other review for a great N.African restaurant.
My room was small and I could not open the window to get some ventilation. The decor was depressing - nicotine yellow walls and orange curtain. There was a very small shower room with sink. Toilet was along the corridor - this was made clear on the booking site.
There was a lift but this would be difficult to access unless able bodied due to several steps from the side entrance you have t use when the restaurant is shut.
As others report, walls are thin so you hear conversations or TVs. My neighbours would have heard my snoring!
I slept okay but I was glad I was alone as the mattress is worn and a couple would roll to the middle.
I know hotels are not cheap inside the old city of St Malo but I somehow felt I was staying in a seedy hostel rather than a mid-price tourist hotel.
I didn't dine in the hotel restaurant as it was closed in the evening and I had 9 hours on a ferry to occupy so ate on the ferry in the morning.
Intra Muros is a nice place to stay but if I visit again I will choose a different place to stay.
