Villa Roffa

Just for a little break my wife and I visited this bed and breakfast. It is outside a little town between Blois and Chaumond. It is not a luxurious stay buth rather cosy with a lovely view at the Loire. The service is very friendly with all kind of homemade products for breakfast. The owners both are very creative and life at the same place and provided us with all kind of information. We relaxed and enjoyed several sightseeing events in the area. After 3 days we left and we for sure will come back in the next years!

We enjoyed our stay in Villa Roffa for 2 nights. The house is located outside of Blois town and noisy streets but easy to reach by car. The surrounding garden is marvelous and well-maintained. In the evening you can listen to the sounds of nature
Rooms have nice decor and clean. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom is good too. Toilet is outside of the room but this is not a problem and you can still feel privately there. There is no TV and refrigerator in the room.
Breakfast is served by owners and very tasty. From the terrace you can enjoy the view to the river and garden. There is a large pool available in summer time.
On the ground floor you can also enjoy sitting near the fireplace and play billiards

The owners are very nice and welcoming people who are ready to help you with every request. If you visit castles of Loire valley - ask your host for discount coupons.

We stayed at Villa Roffa on our way North back to the Netherlands. We stayed in rooms Anna and Julietta together with our little girl of 2 years old. Although the art-deco interior is old-fashioned and not entirely our taste, it wasn't bad at all and part of the nice atmosphere in this classic mansion with superb view on the Loire river. Rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable although small (140 cm) for Dutch references. Breakfast is simple but tasteful. Tables d'hotes (on request due to our little girl) was perfect and offered a warm welcome after a long day driving. We definitely visit again if we visit the region or travel in France.

Charming guest house in large garden

Classic mansion, high quality and warm welcome

The house itself is beautiful and Nathalie is very nice, but I think there are several issues one should consider before deciding on this B&B.  
First, No shower or toilet en-suite and each is located on different ends of the corridor. 
Second, No key to the door of your room.
Third, linen were a bit worn out, and the blanket was super thin, not sufficient for two and the extra blanket was also small in size. 
Fourth, no shampoo or conditioner provided. 
Fifth, wifi in the room was not strong (mine didn't work at all). 
Sixth, Both room and bathroom were not clean when we returned to it (after being out all day). 

I also have good things to say, aside from the fact that the host is very nice and communicative. 
First, the house has a living room for guests use and free tea and coffee is offered. There's also an option to put music. 
Second, the house is beautiful and has an outdoor pool overlooking the Loire, which was closed (we didn't know - if it's important for you - ask in advance). the parking is easy and safe. 
Third, breakfast was good included jam, Nutella, butter, bread, boiled eggs, coffee and tea, kiwis, cheese and juice.
