This hotel was a century ago a gatehouse at the border of France and older Comté de Piémont-Sardaigne. Hence the name of this hose. Very well-restaured, even if some rooms are not so spacious. Anyway, we enjoyed the calm of the place which invited to relax. The village desserves to be seen; the difference in altitude is impressive! Casanova, when he escaped from venice prison, was sleeping in the village, apparently, to be saved inFrance ! We very much appreciated the dinner on the terrace, very good and inexpensive. The hosts are hospitable. We recommend this vacation without hesitation.
