This was our favorite hotel in the Black Forest, our room was large and comfortable and it was great to hear the cuckoo clock during our stay. We also made use of the very large sauna which the staff are very happy to switch on for you to use on request. The hotel is a very short walk from the station, we caught the train to Barental Feldberg where we started a very nice walk to Feldberg mountain resort and then onto Feldsee tarn, on the way back we stopped to visit the Schnapps museum, I believe the train also goes to Lake Titisee as well. You can also walk to Barental Feldberg through the forest, about 30 mins. The staff made us feel very welcome and the food was great. Michelle provided excellent service during the evening meal, it was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience.
