Hotel Zewener Hof

Clean and quiet, with excellent breakfast and pleasant staff. Bare in mind that it's not "10 minutes from town center", it's more like 20. Especially if you take the bus. That's why I didn't give it a clean 5 stars.

Had a pleasant nights stopover at the Zewener Hof, comfortable room welcoming hosts and good breakfast. Nice little pub around the corner on the main road for chicken and chips, salad, beer and wine at a sensible price.

Let me get the only negative out of the way first, the location is about 4/5 miles from the city centre but as a couple we paid 65 euros including breakfast, think about at least double that for similar accommodation in a prime site. our room was huge with two good size single beds and plenty of room for a small couch, armchair and coffee table. The bedroom was separated from the bathroom by a good size hall and the bathroom was huge and very well appointed. We were on the first floor and also had a balcony. Breakfast is include and was the best continental breakfast we had on this trip, expect the normal breads, jams, cereal, fruit etc but in addition good quality ham, selection of German sausage meats and a fresh boiled egg served to your table. Will stay gain as great for a stop over. The lady running the hotel has very little English but is very friendly and helpful allowing for the language barrier.

Typical old style German. Solid and spotlessly clean. Able to leave our motorbike tucked behind a gate. Very pleasant service and fantastic breakfast. Excellent value for money. 

They only take cash I think, but there was a bank right behind. 

We ate dinner here and we're delighted at the value and taste.

On route to Austria

The hotel situated far from city center, but public transport works good and it takes approximately 15-20 min to get to the hotel. Room was nice and clean, staff very friendly. In the morning you will be offered breakfast buffet which is not so varied, but enough to have a nosh. I can recommend this hotel or budget trips.
