Roccamare Resort - Casa di Ponente 

The entire resort is a beautiful garden, pristine and meticulously maintained, with individual villas (and a hotel). The villas are large and our family of 4 had plenty of space. The view from the main living room of the villas leads to beautiful and typical pine trees - and you have an amazing background sound from crickets. We love the resort, and we've been there 3 or 4 times. Make sure to take a walk at night and to look at the stars - on clear nights you can see the Milky Way belt. This year's highlight is the entirely remodelled gym - Technogym equipment, high quality furniture, beautiful interior, plenty of space and a beautiful view into the garden. I used the gym as my inofficial hotel lounge and occasional remote office - working from there doesn't feel like work... Cesare, the gym coach, was another highlight for us. He is there most of the day and we took full advantage of the lessons. We did stretching in the morning, followed by Pilates and in the afternoon we did CrossFit / strength training. He is great for beginners and advanced as well and as a bonus he brings posture training to the mix. I learned amazing new stretching exercises. I took the family with me - and they enjoyed it as well. I ended up doing sports 2-3 times a day, which I almost never do. But, given my consumption of freshly made pasta, it was a good balance. The only flip side is that most people aren't aware of the gym and of Cesare and of the possibilities offered by the resort, probably because they know the old gym (and prefer to not even try it out. If the resort is reading this, I hope they can be more active by letting people know about the new gym and the great trainer.
