Acqua Hotel Salou 

A hotel is just a building without caring staff. It is the people who transform a building into a hotel by providing services like check-in, room service, hotel catering, maintenance, and security. My wife Liz and I enjoyed another excellent holiday in the Golden Acqua Hotel, Salou, from the 12th of May until the 26th of May 2026. On arrival, we were greeted by the amazing and very friendly receptionist called Gloria. We would take this opportunity to thank Gloria for her courtesy and kindness during our stay. We want to mention Gemma (in charge of the reception) for her care and thoughtfulness during our vacation. We would also like to thank Monica, Christine, Alba and all the other reception staff at the Golden Acqua Hotel for their friendliness and consideration during our holiday. It is their hospitality that creates a fantastic guest experience. We had requested a room on a higher floor near the lifts with a pool view, and this is exactly what we got. Our chambermaid, Daniele, was lovely and so very friendly. She cleaned our room and changed all our towels daily, and Daniele also changed our bedding frequently. Unfortunately, the Beds are still too low and uncomfortable and need to be replaced (our only criticism). We think Golden Hotels should invest in more appropriate beds for the benefit of their guests and the arduous bed-making tasks of their housekeeping staff. Our appreciation for their camaraderie and helpfulness during our stay goes to Paula (the restaurant and bar manager), Myrana, Lali, Valaria and Thomas. Our gratitude also extends to Fatima and Assan, the kitchen chefs, and to Francisco and Bouziane in the show-cooking area. All the other staff we spoke to in the restaurant and the kitchen were very pleasant, and they all made us feel very welcome. Gade, Abdou (Abdoulaye), and all the other people who work in the Gallery Bar are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them, and everything was done with a smile and in a very sociable manner. We appreciated Raul's assistance and the friendliness of this very obliging maintenance man. It was lovely for my wife and me to meet and chat with our very dear friend Belen from housekeeping. Kira (guest entertainer) is charming and very professional. Kira is a likeable and considerate person. We know that Mario, the Manager of the Golden Acqua Hotel (who always made time to chat with us during our stay), really appreciates having such good employees. It was fantastic to meet up with Bryan & Jackie, Jamie & Lorraine, and Peter, who are our friends from previous holidays. Mike & Liz Dear (Aberdeen).
