I literally have no idea why so many people have moaned about this place! It's full of character and great! Yes, there are a lot of steps but it's up in the mountains which adds to the charm so what do you expect. To me, Thailand isn't about the 5 star hotels, it's about places like this which are rustic and unique and make you feel like your in Thailand. It's basic accommodation but so what, but so what you're in Thailand so get out there and see it. Yes, you will probably get bitten - use bug spray. The breakfast was nice and did the job, but view over the island at breakfast was even better. It's peaceful, full of charm and if you're lucky you will get paid a visit from the monkeys like I did on my last day. If your bungalow is up high enough you will have a fantastic view too.
