Visited AM Samui for a coffee while out exploring and liked it so much we decided to stay a night here. Booked a beachfront bungalow as we wanted to maximise the beach location as we are currently in a villa in the mountains so it’s nice to have a location change. I loved it! We have been travelling around Thailand for 3 months and have experienced all accommodation from 5 star hotels and luxury villas to 3 star resorts, air b n b condos and bungalows etc and this resort is a great standard. Firstly the location is great, it’s set on a quiet small cove like beach (slightly rocky for swimming) secondly it’s very reasonably priced. It’s not 5 star so don’t go expecting 5 star details but for a 3 star resort I thought it was fantastic. Taling Ngam is the quieter side of Koh Samui but also only a 30 min drive to the busier sides, I’d recommend a mode of transport to explore koh samui (or the number of a taxi driver) otherwise the surrounding area of the resort on foot would be a bit isolated with just a few restaurants near ish by. Had one meal in the onsite restaurant and it was excellent standard. Lastly ALL the ladies and staff here were lovely and friendly and welcoming to me so I’m not sure what the other reviews were about.
