A great hotel, room nice & clean. 
& a brilliant welcome from Kate on arrival. 
Me & my friend had a great stay, lacey who was the barmaid was lovely. We had a great time. 
Will definitely stay there again. Very nice food. But better if you drive, as a bit out of the way.

Had a lovely stay here with my partner. 
We had the apartment/flat which is in the he courtyard of the pub.
Very clean and spacious. 
The bed was really comfy, we both had a nice sleep.
Staff were all very nice and helpful throughout our stay.
We had the Sunday roast for lunch before leaving and that was excellent as well.
No faults at all and will be back!
Also made friends with the resident dogs which was an added bonus

Just had a family get together for the weekend. 10 of us stayed a couple of nights and 13 of us had an amazing Christmas Dinner on Saturday.  Food was fantastic and the team in the restaurant/pub were brilliant. Will definitely come again when we visit the in-laws next. Thank you! 

Wonderful Food , Friendly , helpful staff who go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant , enjoyable stay , Rooms were very clean and reasonably priced , the breakfast was all made with fresh local produce , well worth a visit 

The most delicious roasts ever! We were so looked after in this cosy pub with wonderful staff. I had the veggie wellington which absolutely hit the spot and my mum had the chicken which looked fab. Great family atmosphere too, I would highly recommend and will absolutely return to this gem of a pub! ✨

Fantastic!!

Having driven past the Five Bells at Ringwould on a number of occasions I thought it best to actually pop in and try the place out. On first impressions the place looked as i lf it needed a spruce up however I didn’t let this put me off as let’s be fair times have been difficult.

After being greeted by a very polite Welshman who filled me in with the pub’s history (very interesting) I  ordered a Fosters a and decided to look at the menu - what a great choice!!

I ordered the Bells Burger 🍔 

After 10 minutes or so the burger arrived - WOW 🤩 WHAT A BURGER!

Absolutely delicious! 

I’ve had many a pub burger in my time but have to say this was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time!!

It was washed down by the great pint as well.

The locals are friendly and made me feel welcome, i she’ll definitely be using this little gem as one of my regulars.

I booked this pretty much last minute as was heading across the Channel. 
Arrived in the evening, no issues checking in and were taken straight to our room. The room was nicely decorated, clean and very spacious.
We then hit the bar and I made myself at home, beer was lovely and the layout I found to be very nice.
Just before I turned in for the night I used the toilets and was very disappointed... I walked past what looked like really comfy sofas that were hidden from me when I first entered!! 
In a nutshell.. very clean, tidy and well presented.
Great night sleep and arrived in Dover to find that my ferry had been cancelled.. but that didn't matter, had a great nights sleep and was not stressed following a dash on the motorway.

We hired the whole pub and rooms for our leaving party, John and Gemma were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are clean and tidy and the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was hot and really tasty. Thank you John and Gemma for making our stay and party amazing xxx

We needed somewhere to stay in this area as we were meeting friends who live nearby for the evening. Very warm welcome from the owners on arrival with our dog. Couldn't have been more friendly. Our room exceeded our expectations for what we had paid. Clean, spacious and pleasant decor with plenty of tea and coffee. When our dog escaped, a very stressful experience, the owners were so kind and caring and came out with us to look for her. They made us a lovely cooked breakfast and were very friendly. There was plenty of parking on a quiet lane next to the pub, in fact that area is very attractive for a walk around. The only issue for us was the noise from the traffic on the road, as we are used to having no noise at night. Earplugs would easily fix this though, and for anyone used to being on a road wouldn't be an issue. Overall we were very happy with the very friendly welcome, the room and our breakfast and felt it was very good value for money. We would definitely return and recommend.

Attractive old country pub. Good selection of beers, including some brewed in Tonbridge for the pub. Friendly helpful staff. The food was good though not award winning. Didn’t have to book. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We stayed at The 5 Bells for a couple of nights at the backend of September as we were visiting friends in the area.
First impressions of the pub / hotel were ok, the room we had was nice and spacious and very clean, a little bit basic but no complaints.
The pub itself has a nice charm to it and everything you would look for in a village pub.
The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome when we arrived and so did the rest of the staff.
The rooms are available from 4pm which to be honest isn't ideal if you you've travelled a long distance and are rushing around as we were and just want to get settleddown before going out, but no drama.
Parking on the street can be tight especially if you have a large vehicle as the streets are quite narrow.
When we stayed meals were limited so sadly not a lot of choice for evening meals or breakfast, which if I'm being really honest was disappointing.
Inside of the restaurant area we did notice that a large part of the ceiling had come down due to maybe a flood from one of the rooms above (it didn't look great but can't be helped).
Price wise per room was about average for the area and so was the food (that was available).
My honest review on The 5 Bells is that with a bit of TLC this place would be spot on just a few things that let it down sadly. 
Would we stay here again when back in the area ??? Yes we would but I would want to check that a full breakfast menue and evening meals were available before booking.

Not bad but could be better

Stayed for 1 night recently.  The  website looks very nice and overall the 2 rooms we had were clean. When we arrived we realised there was no car parking which is a pain as there is very limited places to park.   The owners were friendly enough and we were able to check in early. I booked this as there is a pub attached however it doesn't open until 6pm so off to Deal for food. This actually was a better option, lovely seaside town and was able to sit on the seafront and have a lovely meal. 

The beds are rock hard, it's like sleeping on the cliffs at Dover and the pillows are as flat as a pancake. Didn't get much sleep to  be honest and the noise from pub didn't help either.  It cost just over £200 for 2 rooms. Owners really need to sort out the beds and pillows. Not much you can do about the pub noise though

I’d love to rate this higher as the landlord was a friendly chap but sadly our experience wasn’t quite as we’d hoped.
My wife, daughter and I were staying here as we were attending a wedding up the road. We arrived on Friday evening and were told there was no food as the chef was absent due to an emergency. So we had to go to a pub in Deal for an evening meal (bit of a shame). We came back to have a drink here but even that was a bit odd. My wife’s gin and tonic was served in a Carlsberg glass with no lemon and little ice. Apparently there’s not much call for G&T here (??). 
Come Saturday morning there was no option of a breakfast (I don’t know why there are photos of breakfasts posted here) so we went into Walmer to find something. I’d mislaid my wallet the night before but despite trying to knock on the door of the pub and ring their number couldn’t get hold of anyone until midday. Luckily the wallet had been found but it had been a worrying morning. I’m amazed there’s nobody available to contact whilst staying here (the pub is open 5pm - 11pm). I had to resort to a message through Booking.com. Mad. Never stayed somewhere that has no one available to help. A German family, as we were going out for breakfast, had checked themselves out by posting their key but were desperate to get back into their room to retrieve a forgotten item but also couldn’t get hold of anyone. I don’t know if they ever did. 
The rooms themselves were actually very clean except for a troublesome leak from the toilet in room 3. That, and a shower head that point blank refused to stay in one position. Also the tv in room 4 didn’t work despite the landlord saying “just wiggle the lead”. Finally and most importantly, the beds are HARD. Thin, noisy springed and hard. Very hard with very thin pillows. So, not the best nights sleep. We left as soon as we could Sunday morning and sadly won’t be staying again. As I said, this is a shame as the manager seemed genuine and friendly but the facilities offered here were below par for my likings. 
I guess some would say, £200 for 2 rooms for 2 nights was pretty cheap but sadly you kind of get what you pay for here.
