We went for a Valentines meal on Saturday and had an amazing meal. It really was superb. I have blade of beef which is Probably oneof the best meals I’ve had for ages and we frequently eat out , Katie had Hunters Chicken which she said was lovely, The pub had laid out all the tables in the theme of Valentines with all the ladies getting a rose and they had a singer on who with her pianist was very good, We have the past had Sunday dinner her and that’s very good as well

I had a party for my 60th on Saturday 16 August, excellent communication, buffet for 50 was fabulous and plenty of it, in fact many took take home boxes, great venue and a fabulous night was had by all. Some friends stayed at the Woolpack and said it was lovely and were able to join for breakfast/brunch on Sunday morning. Big thank you to the manager and all staff xx

Just as required. Quiet peaceful rooms. Simple check in, room just what is needed. Even managed to have a fan in room which larger hotels seemingly always struggle to manage to even consider. Staff pleasant and not overbearing in allowing you to just do your own thing at own pace.

What a fantastic pub and restaurant the staff could not have made use feel more  welcome.The rooms were large with a comfortable bed with good quality bedding and all the little touches that made our stay excellent.

A lovely unique room and great service made this an ideal stop overnight on my way east. Recommended. Only complaint was poor wi-fi in the room. View of fields/horses in the morning was a bonus.

Great 60th Birthday Party

A lovely place to stay, operated by friendly and helpful staff in all areas. The room was quiet and sizeable, containing everything you might expect - with a little more, such as a generous hanger supply and generosity with teabags biscuits, etc.
The room, including its en suite, was kept in immaculate condition throughout my stay. A comfortable bed and a decent-sized TV rounded tings off adroitly. Easy access to neighbouring towns and attractions.
It's not the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for.

Pleasant stay in a quiet setting

We popped in on the off chance they did food.  We were so pleased we did.  I ordered a ploughman’s.  This wasn’t any ordinary ploughman’s.  There was so much on a slice of wood it was falling off the edges. I simply can’t remember all there was but stand out for me was the ham.  Not plastic ham but proper carved off the bone ham.  Cheese, pickles, sweet peppers bread and lots of other stuff.  My partner had the stroganoff, all I can say about that is there wasn’t a scrap left on the plate…… nuff said!

Generous delicious portions

Absolutely fantastic.. this is a gem in the crown jewel, the accommodation is an old stable block renovated into 5 spacious rooms, crisp white sheets, soft pillows,, a large wall mounted t.v,, great shower and spotlessly clean,, the bar offers  a great selection of drinks, the menu is ok with good traditional choices,.. front of house Adam & darcie are welcoming when you walk in,,house keeping sue & caroline are absolutely fantastic and are like the Pepsi & Shirley of the woolpack

By chance we had dinner at the Woolpack Inn and were so impressed by the ambience, efficiency and friendliness of staff and superb cooking and presentation of our meal we repeated the occasion the following day. We then decided to have a Sunday lunch. The consistency of this establishment's operations not only matched some our favourite venues we can only wish were weren't so far from Islip. Well done everyone at the Woolpack - you're STARS. If we were to give points it would be 11 out of 10 simply BRILLIANT.

Engaged with Staff before I left to say I was running really late - they accommodated me by arranging a key safe, provided great directions to the key, parking and my room - also provided a personal number for me to ask for help if I struggled.In the morning - the breakfast team helped by making me a bacon sandwich to take on the go as I was due at meetings.Lovely quiet place, looked out onto field of horses.  Would stay again - really clean, lovely and warm, clean, comfy.

Friendly staff lovely food. Our bedroom was right at the top of the pub my cousin and myself are both disabled we found these extremely difficult. Our room was very clean my bed was clean but my cousins pillow had mens aftershave on it!
Plenty character in this room however the bathroom was very tired and it did smell a bit. If we were to stay stay over again we would stay at the woolpack if we had a room with no stairs and the bathrooms were refurbished.

Rooms are at the back of the pub - be careful of the large steps in the dark! Rooms themselves very large and easy to warm up using the heater. HUGE bed and very comfortable in a naturally quiet location made for a great sleep. Breakfast time (half 6 to 9am) and check out time (10am) both felt a touch early to say the least but the breakfast itself was excellent as were the pints the night before!

Cosy stay

The woolpack inn hosted our wedding meal and evening reception. I have to say a huge thank you to Dan and his team. Everyone was so attentive and everything went like clock work.. not a thing left on anyones  plates. And lots of compliments about the food. 
We and others stayed over and the accommodation was equally as nice and everyone enjoyed the breakfasts!!!
