Casa Capellini just keeps getting better.  This was our 4th visit to this B&B (as well as to it's sister B&B Casa Vanella).  The location is so beautiful and relaxing, and Pascale is a wonderful hostess.  She speaks fluent english and can tell many stories about the family home and the area, as well as give ideas about things to do in the area.  The location is remote and quiet, we were so lucky to have a room on the top floor with a large terrace - perfect for star gazing.  And the food is some of the best on the island - local specialities made by one of the best chefs on the island (Pascale herself).  A visit to both these B&B's is a must for us when we are on Corsica, our home away from home.

We were part of a cycling group who enjoyed two wonderful nights. We were welcomed with open arms and true family style hospitality. Our host, Pascal went above and beyond cooking delicious meals local the area, local cheese, home made yoghurt, local chestnut cake (and GF!), vast array of her home made jams and preserves to name a few. The setting made for a perfect afternoon by the pool, beers and pre dinner drinks topped it off! If in Corsica make this a must on your accommodation route. We will remember Pascal and her family for giving some remarkable memories.

We stayed for one night at the casa during our travel from north to south Corsica. It was a surprising experience with the best food we tasted during our holiday.

The staff was realy nice and spoke English.

Casa Capellini is in a lovely setting in the mountains.  The roads are not for those with vertigo!  Good local walks with advice from the proprietor. The church is lit at night and looks beautiful. 

Our double room was not large but perfectly adequate, with a separate toilet and separate bath room. We had a lovely balcony over looking the area which was fantastic. Due to its isolation there are no other places to eat in easy reach of the hotel.  We ate there and enjoyed organic, local produce.  The evening meals were hearty, Corsican food, very enjoyable!  The breakfast was traditional  with breads, jams, cakes, tea and coffee.

The managers were friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge. This was a relaxing and peaceful few days.

Note: A small swimming pool was being delivered by helicopter the day after we left.  It was being installed in an idyllic setting over looking the  valley.  Will have to return in the warmer months to try it.

Possibly still one of the calmest regions of Corsica is east of Corte. The casa capellini is a nicely renovated house built in the thirties of the last century, the view from there is simply marvelous. Even from the nice and clean pool you can see down to Corte.
The host is very knowledgeable about the region and gives a lot of details to whatever you might ask him. If asked for in advance he is also cooking a typical Corsican dinner of good quality. There are beautiful walks in the region for everyone who likes to see more of Corsica than only beaches.
