We enjoyed a brief stay at Lar de Capitans Hotel is El Masnou. We had the Julia suite which is essentially the third floor with a large balcony. The suite is very large, particularly by European standards. We found the room exceptionally comfortable. The room affords an excellent view of the sea and the balcony is quite large. The property is located near the Ocala train station, a stop for regional trains. This made it easy for us to travel from Barcelona. There are numerous small shops and restaurants nearby. The street in front of the hotel is very busy and there is some road noise. The property has a lift. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor which seemed popular but we didn’t try it. We found the staff to be charming and helpful. They also spoke very good English which was helpful when there was an issue with our booking. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended.
