We’ve just got back for a lovely 3 night stay at The Vikings Accommodation. The accommodation was easy to find travelling from North Wales and on first impressions from outside it looked great. They give you a code for the door to get into the building when you arrive and then issue you with a key fob which makes it very easy to come and go as you please. We stayed in room 1 on the first floor which was the Deluxe Kingsized bedroom with en-suite. The room was spotless and the Viking themed cushions and throws were a lovely touch. We had nice white fluffy towels on the end of the bed and they put some chocolates on top which I thought was a very nice gesture. The room had a kettle and coffee maker and there was Yorkshire tea bags, sugar, UHT milk pots, coffee capsules and biscuits. Mugs and spoons were on a little tray underneath the kettle. The room was lovely and warm as the heating was on but if you get too hot there is also a fan that you can just plug in next to the bed.On the ground floor is a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen which you are free to use whilst you are staying there. There’s a big American style fridge freezer, microwave, saucepans, frying pans all kitchen utensils and a sink to wash up after yourself with tea towels and sponges as well. Jamal was lovely and made sure our stay was good. He gave my husband some great ideas of places to go and things to see and told us the best way to get there etc. Overall very pleased with our stay 😊

It was ok the host was welcoming and informative about the area and shown us our toom and how to access the front door for when we arrived back from our walk around the city.Although the room was clean the bed was not very comfortable but it was ok as we were only staying one night The only thing is that it should say to park on the street near the hotel cost £5 for 24 hours as we didnt find this out until we arrived

Lovely little guesthouse close enough to the action but quiet and a great neighourhood. No reception, or staff, they texted a code for the outer door and the key was inside. Compact but clean and comfortable, with everything I needed, the Nespresso machine was welcome. No bar or restaurant on site but there is a full kitchen you can use if you want to cook.

Very efficient and enjoyable guesthouse

Was a very comfortable stay brilliant contact with the owner prior to coming, check in is all done beforehand and all details to get in are sent via text. Accommodation very clean the only thing to stop me giving 5 star wad rhe noise coming from what seemed to be the water pipes which did keep us awake for some time but other than that it was perfect

This was just what we needed for a short weekend break to York. The host was amazing, especially when our arrival to York was very delayed, our check in process was not impacted. The room had everything we needed, and the location was great, a short walk into the city centre. We would come back again when in York!

Perfect in every way. Ideal location for exploring York. 10 min walk to access walk around the wall. Wonderful warm and courteous welcome from Noah on arrival at the property and personal send off when key handed in.Comfortable warm bed. Slept like a log. Both room and en suite clean and wecoming. Tea and coffee making facilities available as well as use of a kitchen and small dining table. Cosy atmosphere just to have coffee and relax before retiring to your room. Overnight parking outside property available at a very reasonable rate. 2nd visit and will definitely be my first choice on my next visit/visits to York.

Ideal stop over for exploring York centre

We enjoyed our stay at the Vikings Accommodation very much. The hotel and rooms are nice; they are clean and very sufficient. The location is fantastic – a quick walk to the city center. But what sets this place apart from the others are the owners. They go out of their way to meet every need, and they are very pleasant and friendly. You will be amazed by their outstanding attention to detail. We recommend Vikings Accommodation highly.

Lovely stay Noah could not have been more helpful Bags were carried to room we were told of local places to visit and best eateries The room was well equipped and clean comfortable beds Bonus is large well equipped kitchen and dining/sitting room on ground floor Parking outside Would highly recommend a stay
