Hotel Sandhof 

We have just checked out following a week at the Sandhof in Lech. The hotel perfectly blends tradition and modern and is very comfortable. Excellent meals and breakfasts. The location is fabulous - almost directly opposite the Oberlech Cabin, adjacent to ski rental, 2 mins walk to Ski School drop off and the toboggan, and a few mins walk to centre. Convenience is everything when moving young children around in ski gear, but at the Sandhof service makes a massive difference, and guest hospitality was at a level even higher the morning of departure when our scheduled transfer to the airport called in to say his vehicle was stuck 20 mins away unable to travel on snow covered roads. The Sandhof manager calmly assessed options and when none materialised, personally collected his car and drove us to our helpless, and hopeless transfer car (please avoid Connecto transfers and only use Arlberg Express or Lech transfers). In doing so, the manager missed the opportunity to thank and farewell several other guests of the hotel checking out to drive us back and forward - a hour lost of his busy day to help us address this issue. A personal thank you to the entire Sandhof team ! The Sandhof hotel has just completed new apartments opposite (which look amazing) and is planning a wellness complex adjacent. In combination, the Sandhof looks set to present a formidable guest experience in Lech.
