We stayed for one night in May 2017. La Caminade was perfect. Very quiet location for a great night's sleep. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous and the hosts were wonderful (spoke brilliant English and put up with our very poor attempts at speaking French!) The rooms were bright and airy, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was traditional French, fresh bread and croissants, and the assortment of homemade jams were delicious! We'll definitely try and come back!

We first stayed at La Caminade in September 2009.  On our return to Cazals, it was the first choice for our accommodation.  Our hosts were as welcoming as before, and the room was spacious and clean.  Highly recommended.

We arrived at La Caminade to the warmest of welcomes.  This is no ordinary B&B this is a beautifully restored 12th century building which is the home to Joelle & Christian which they have chosen to share.  Needless to say they are excellent hosts and will assist you with all your requirements whether that be recommendations for restaurants or day outs, Joelle even prepares your room with a few leaflets etc so that you have all you need to hand to discover the local area.
We were situated in a bedroom on the 1st floor, the room was very spacious and clean.  All the rooms have been decorated traditionally which contributes to the character and charm of La Caminade.
Breakfast in the morning was served around Joelles & Chrisitians dining table due to the weather being a little on the chilly side.  Breakfast consists of freshly baked bread and croissants from the village and the most delicious homemade jams.
The pictures for La Caminade do not do it justice, so if you think these whet your appetite then go and see for yourself.
La Caminade is located in Cazals which is a beautiful authentically French village and is the perfect location for a relaxing break, although there are lots of things to see and do within the local area but if you can resist then sit back and soak up your idyllic surroundings.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at La Caminade for three nights and it was pure heaven. Set in Cazals, a quaint French village - easy and quick (within 30-45 minutes) access to all the major sites: Rocamadour, Sarlat, Cahors, etc. Joelle and Christian are beyond kind and accommodating. The hot chocolate in the mornings was divine, as was the fresh bread and orange juice, and homemade jams. Being from New York City, this was the perfect retreat. Joelle recommended a couple of local restaurants which were amazing for dinner. We stayed in the ground floor suite which has a picturesque view of the surrounding countryside. If you're looking for old school french charm then this is the place to go.
Medieval stone walls and stairs mixed with modern amenities. As I sit typing this in my NYC office I'm daydreaming about going back!

La Caminade can make you feel like you are back in the middle ages.  Huge old wooden doors creak open and clang shut, your footsteps echo down the stone hallways and your voice is muffled by the arched ceiling of the ancient granary, now a very cozy sitting room.  The contrast between real medieval character and modern comfort is striking.  The monks certainly never had it so good.

Your hosts, Christian and Noelle, spare no effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable.  Chat with them and learn more about Cazals, a medieval crossroad of trade and pilgrimage, and an outpost on the frontier of the 100 Years War.

Altogether delightful and highly recommended.
