Les Falaises

The view from the garden opened up to magnificent mountains and the river. It was a beautiful stay -- we hiked, kayaked & swam in the river. The room we stayed was airy and clean. The hosts were very kind and friendly. We highly recommend it

The setting is gorgeous, stunning garden with many places to sit and enjoy the view. The owners are the loveliest most helpful people. The breakfast is magnificent with a large variety of local and homemade goodies. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with everything you need. Highly recommend Staying here if you are in the area!

We spent two nights here. Our arrival was in the rain and we were concerned about the difficulty of the location (they were paving the area around the church at the very end of the ascent into Liaucous where Les Falaises is). But it turned out to be wonderful to wake up there to a lovely breakfast and the scenery. Patrick and Bridgette are friendly and very helpful. They made our dinner reservations in Le Roziers and the drive up and down did not bother us after the first ascent when we were tired of driving. There are signs to help you find it. Just be aware that it is NOT in Moustuéjouls which is across the valley. Liaucous is the access to a climbing route on the cliffs above, which we found interesting!  I will think about this spot over and over...thank you to our terrific hosts!

The B&B is at the top of the village next to the church and was everything we required for a 2 night stay. The rooms were very clean, superbly decorated and provided a lovely communal lounge room with refrigerator and coffee/tea making facilities. There was a great spa with views of the mountains to rest after a weary day of tramping. The hosts were especially attentive and pointed out local Tarn Gorges attractions and other recreational pursuits. This is a B&B we will return to.

Spent 2 nights here at the end on May on the way back from Spain, the property is lovely with lots of facilites right at the end/beginning of the Tarn Gorge. The host couple were so helpful, Breakfast was a delight and the thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again. The Tarn Gorge is beautiful and well worth a visit. Couldn't fault it.

Well signposted from the main road: keep going past the medieval church and you will come to Les Falaises, and a warm welcome from Brigitte and Patrick. The setting is perfect, with a magnificent view of the gorge and church, and a peaceful garden with nightingales singing and redstarts flitting about. You might even catch a glimpse of the griffon vultures from the garden! 

Although Les Falaises is steeped in history, everything that you need for a comfortable stay is provided, including a hot tub. Our room was large and luxurious, with panoramic views that I couldn't drag myself away from. Breakfast was delicious, with local produce and home-made treats, something different provided by Brigitte every morning. Patrick and Brigitte gave us genuinely useful information about walks and things to see nearby, which really enhanced our experience of the area. 

The communal area has coffee and tea, and facilities for making snacks. Wifi signal was best from here, probably due to the thick walls of the medieval farmhouse (not sure what it was like in the other rooms). Le Rozier is in easy reach and has a choice of good restaurants. 

I hope that we will visit again some day, as there is so much to see and do in this area and Les Falaises provides a perfect base - we could not have felt more welcome.

We have spent 3 nights in this B&B and it was the best choice we could ever do. The village it is situated in a very tranquil and cosy part and from the garden you can enjoy a fantastic view on the mountains and the river Tarn. We would sure come back again. The hospitality of Patrick and Brigitte is just amazing! Merci pour touts.
