La Maison Rose 

My family stayed at this Chambres d'hote for 3 nights in July. It is a large family home which welcomes guests to share all that is on offer. Penny and Greg are excellent hosts, and made us all feel very welcome and by the time we left, we genuinely felt as though we were leaving friends. We especially enjoyed the drinks around the table (from tea to local wines) and the company of our hosts, and other guests who cared to join us - along with the unexpected wine tasting session one evening. The rooms are clean, tastefully furnished and spacious, and we appreciated the adjoining rooms in the Penelope suite. The highlight was certainly the optional table d'hote dinner, which we enjoyed on 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. Penny is a very talented cook and did well to please all of my family. In fact, we returned again for dinner later in our holiday, having realised this was a much better option than any of the restaurants we visited. Although Montblanc is a small village, it is ideally situated for visiting beautiful sandy beaches (20 mins away) or the spectacular gorges of the Herault - and of course Pezanas, a very beautiful small town. Penny and Greg have done a lot to restore their home to a high standard, and their work continues. Once they have finished, I am sure that this home will be worthy of a 5 star rating. When I booked our holiday earlier in the year, there were several very positive reviews on tripadvisor, upon which I made my decision to stay at Maison Rose. Although the reviews no longer seem to be there, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed time in good company and with excellent food.
