Le Logis des Oiseaux 

We stayed at Le logis des Oiseaux for one week in August 2014. we intended to use it as a base to explore the region and it fit the bill perfectly. Domonique and Odile made us very welcome into their home. We stayed in the family rooms, one double and a twin with adjoining corridor and spotless shower room, we found it absoulutley perfect for my wife and our 2 young girls,(12 & 8). The place is kept spotless and the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The town centre of Surgeres is a short walk away and has some nice farmers markets and history. We travelled to La Rochelle which was very nice with Brocante markets and street entertainers. We also explored the surrounding areas with great boat hire and eating. The kids loved the pool and we barbequed every evening in the pool area. There is a TV in the main bedroom but no satellite, so if you want English speaking programs, take a DVD player and leads like we did for when the kids go to bed. I would stay again, definitely.
