Fantastic
This pretty Gashof is now run by 2 young ladies. Its location high in the hills overlooking the Rhine Valley and the mountains of the Voges in the distance is superb, yet it is only 10 mins from the motorway. The food could almost be described as fine dining on a budget. My wife and I had the menu of the day, a great 3 course meal of beautifully dressed dishes whose exceptional flavours required no extra seasoning, with coffe to follow for €19 each. Judging by the amount of locals dining it is obviously gaining a reputation. Unfortunately we could only stay one night. Our room was very clean and a good size and had its own patio with table and chairs. with modern convieniences (flat screen TV etc) but with dated decor and fittings, however the view more than made up for this. Brakfast was served to the table in the restaurant, to the same standard as the evening meal and was far more than we could eat. We hope we will be passing this way again.
