Hotel Nothwang 

The hotel's location is good, with Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Wurzburg, Heidelberg all being about an hour drive away. The Kocher Valley and the nearby Jagst Valley give plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling. The village itself is quiet and the hotel has an excellent restaurant Le Clochard at very reasonable prices. Our room was large, very comfortable, with two easy chairs and a large bed. There was a TV but no English speaking channels, free wifi was available in the room with good internet connection. The room had a well stocked mini bar, a desk, and a good sized wardrobe. The bathroom was roomy, with a good shower and plenty of places for hanging towels including a large towel radiator. Our room, bathroom and all public areas were spotlessly clean. We stayed for 6 days and the continental breakfasts each morning were very good, with a choice of breads, meat, cheese, eggs, cereals, jams, juices, fruit and yoghurt. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and the staff. This is only a small family run hotel but the quality of its rooms, restaurant and breakfast matches if not betters many larger hotels. The hotel room rates are exceptionally good value for money considering the high standard of accommodation.
