It was one of the only hotel in the region that offered a family room for a reasonable price. However it turned out to be much more than that. Huge room, fantastic breakfast with regional "goodies", fussball table, playground in the back and a good restaurant ride beside.
Worth a stay!!

This is a very friendly not so small hotel on Schwäbische Alben. Rooms are very well furnished, very large and clean. TV set is as well large. Took a beer with me in the room, which was surprisingly cheap for Germany, 2,- EUR only.  Bathroom was very clean. Lack is Wi-Fi internet. Came very late to this hotel and could not ask for any help. Nobody was there anymore. Breakfast was very tasty. Bread was very fresh, just baked I guess.

What an amazing room!  Beautifully appointed, extremely large, with large bed and separate seating area with coffee table, and eating area.  A balcony overlooking the fields.  I disagree about the German pillows - I find them much more comfortable and soft than British pillows so that they support my neck.  We got up late and arrived as the breakfast was being cleared away, but there was absolutely no problem with the person bringing everything back out especially for us.  A large breakfast area downstairs with a good selection of items consistent with a German breakfast - meats, cheeses, rolls, yogurts, fruits, eggs, cereals, cakes, jams, honey, etc.  Definitely highly recommended.

This is a delightful and surprisingly large hotel in the pleasant village of St Johann-Lonsingen, south of Reutlingen.  We stayed there for 3 nights.  Some of the rooms overlook the fields and distant woods though ours had a large balcony with a view of the quiet village.  Our room was massive and very nice: smartly furnished and comfortable and with a number of tables and seating options, including a small eating area.  A fridge in the room would be a nice addition.

As is common in German hotels, the square pillows were much too big and the duvets far too heavy.  It was very warm weather so we didn't sleep too well.

Breakfast was excellent, with a large selection of items, though nothing hot.

WiFi is not available in the rooms, only in the reception area and lounge.  The first 10 minutes are free, thereafter it's €3/hour, which is expensive, given that most hotels provide it free nowadays.

As we were visiting a friend, we ate out each evening.  However, the hotel has an adjacent restaurant which looked nice and seemed popular.

It's a very pleasant and quiet area for walking and cycling, with lots of waymarked paths through the fields and woods.

At €84 for a double room, including the excellent breakfast, this is a good value hotel.
