This family-run hotel is worth a visit for its food rather than its accommodation. The rooms are on the small side and lack some facilities. But the restaurant is......another story. The kitchen team is lead by Herr Anhorn who has competed for his state team as a chef in competitions between the different states in Germany. A section of one wall is lined, rightly so, with certificates and awards that reflect his achievements over many years. We have eaten here on three occasions, once making a 50 mile detour from our route to enjoy yet another excellent meal. The food is rich and plentiful and represents the best of German cuisine. The restaurant is very well worth a visit and reasonably priced. The accommodation is on the dear side for the facilities available.
