Gasthaus Hingerl

Fantastic
I discovered this little gem by accident after another local hotel closed suddenly. This guest house is in a totally rural setting but still close to the Chemsee and its attractions. If travelling by car there is plenty of space to park and we were warmly greeted by the Owner. The room was very nicely prepared, the bed very comfortable and the en suite bathroom clean, if a little small. The Owner spoke very good English his wife somewhat less but both were keen to make the guest feel welcome, downstairs the restaurant area looks out over the countryside and the food freshly prepared and cooked by the Owner and his wife was delicious. Next to the restaurant was a public bar which only had two "locals" in it but we were offered the opportunity to join in with the entertainment and made to felel very much at home. The building closest to the guesthouse is a beautiful church, which in keeping with Bavarian tradition chimes every 15 minutes with longer peels every hour. At this price you will find it hard to get any where equal or better than this fabulous place.
