Le Madelon
from $ 101
Excellent
We stayed at Madelon IV for a short planned holiday to visit friends. Our journey was severely delayed but the lady manager remained until we finally arrived, and looked after a couple of weary and hungry travellers even though the restaurant was long closed! Typical old fashioned French ambiance and polite & helpful beyond belief - such lovely lovely people! The food was simple and yet terrific, and there was an English translation of the menu - the management and staff also speak good English. The town is small and dates from medieval times, and is steeped in history and perches on its hill in the Dordogne. There is charm and delight to spare here!
