Camping du Moulin

We had the most wonderful stay here. We stayed in a Ponza tent which was very well equipped and super comfortable and clean. 
It was very hot when we stayed so the fridge with ice box included with the Ponza was a god send.
The beds were comfy with clean pillows and blankets.
The site is wonderfully kept and beautifully clean.
The washing facilities are fabulous.
Extra special thanks to Isabelle and her team who made us feel so very welcome and are extremely helpful.
I cannot wait to visit again.

Stayed here one night. Facilities were immaculate. Campsite would suit anyone who loves peace and quiet in lovely natural surroundings . Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Went to the town in the afternoon, very historic and beautiful.
Would like to return and stay longer.


Such a nice place to stay with a Lidl at the entrance makes camping here a doddle. Not far into town either along the scenic route along the river with a steep descent or along the quicker road route. Either way don’t forget to go up the first set of steps on the left after you cross the bridge or you will go the long way around as we did. 

Lovely place and a bbq area you can use or hire an electric one to use by your site. We did both and the “plancha” was surprisingly good.

Clisson is a fabulous town and we are really looking forward to going back. 

Lovely little campsite with very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were always clean and the site well maintained. This is the second time we have stayed here and would do so again. There is a large supermarket over the road and a Lidl next door. It is a short walk into town which is lovely along the river that can be accessed from bottom of the site.

Very quiet and nice place in the middle of the city.
Clisson in very nice to visit and this camping is perfect for Hellfest.
Big places for Van and green for tents.
Clean and closed to the supermarket.

A well set out and clean campsite. There are supermarkets within a very short walking distance. The staff speak good English and are happy to help. it is possible to walk into old Clisson by the river but a difficult slope down to the river level and a good hour to walk it. You really need a car if you camp here.

Lovely campsite in beautiful town

Quiet

If you want to be within walking distance of the beautiful town of Clisson then Camping du Moulin is within a 10/15 minute walk and the town does not disappoint. 
The sanitary facilities on site however did disappoint…..spectacularly. 
The hygiene and cleanliness was severely lacking.
The only evidence of any “cleaning” during our two night stay was the sluicing around of water on the floors early each morning and refilling of toilet paper (yes, there was toilet paper……a bonus some would say)! 
No cleaning of sinks/showers or toilets, for what looks like some time, was evident, 
The facilities are in a shared block, not unusual in France, with the shower and sink cubicles designated ladies/gents but loos bizarrely weren’t! 
Whilst I understand that campsites and facilities in France and the UK differ, cleanliness is cleanliness and sadly Camping du Moulin did not provide this in their facilities.  
What has happened since some of the previous reviews of “immaculate “ and “always clean”?
One a plus side the pitches were  all of a reasonable size and lots of choice of sun or shade, and again, the location to beautiful Clisson is perfect. There are also regular train services to Nantes.
So my advice, if staying on Camping du Moulin go armed to the sanitary facilities with plenty of anti-bac cleaning products because unless it’s given a deep clean, you need them.
Shame really as it has everything else.

Good location but……!!

Had booked for a few nights but stayed for one! Could not believe the setting for the campsite which is at the back of an industrial estate. The site itself was tired looking and the taps were wobbly. Sorry will not be returning.
