We had a comfortable stay. Nice people. Good breakfast. Silent place at night. What could be improved? The quality of milk and coffee.Thank you

The hotel is located close to the city centre and the Abbey - walking distance (but not in sight). You get the French countryside feeling and at the same time you are close to the facilities of Cluny. The rooms were clean and nice, and the temperature in my room was nice even though the outside temperature was 35 degrees Celsius. The breakfast was quite basic, but with great croissants, good cheese and a decent cup of coffee I am all set. Recommended!

We stayed here overnight while on pilgrimage. We went here to visit the ecumenical Taize Community and the Cluny Monastic ruins. Both visits were wonderful. This is a quaint little place with simple amenities. The man who is the owner seems to do everything. He's tireless but speaks no English. For dinner it's an easy walk right across the road into the town of Cluny. It's lovely to walk around the town. The night we were there, the town seemed to go to sleep by 7:30. There were hardly any cars and few people on the streets or in the cafes.

The bed was small and uncomfortable. Too hard very nice service frome the host..

Adequate. No frills but also no complaints.

Great location

A lovely family run hotel

Motel-style low budget hotel. Quiet location, but still convenient for visiting Cluny, (the Abbey is within a 10 minutes walk), with plenty of parking space. Basic room, old bathroom. wifi working only in common areas. Standard breakfast, which I would skip and have in one of the nice cafe` in Cluny. We arrived in the afternoon (around 2 pm) , but there was nobody at the reception. We decided to tour the area and came later. We could not experience the warm welcome other reviews are mentioning: we met only one man, taking care of everything, not willing to smile and giving the impression to be in some trouble.

You get what you pay for

Location was very good, within walking distance of the town and Abbey. This motel was basic but what you'd expect in this price range. The room was spacious and clean but did not have air conditioning. We couldn't really open up the windows and shutters as people could look straight into the room from the car park and any noise from outside was heard. There was obviously a leak in the shower area as quite a lot of water soaked through to the bedroom carpet which dampened some of our belongings which were on the floor, leaning up next to the wall.
There's plenty to see and do in Cluny and the surrounds and would recommend this place to the budget conscious traveller but look elsewhere if you like a bit of luxury.

Budget Motel

The hotel is located outside of town within a fiive minute walk to the major sites. The building is clean and our room was adequate although fitted for handicapped access. The free WiFi was unusable unfortunately and the only alternative was an Edge connection on the Orange network. Plan on not using your smart phone or tablet for any data intensive work.

Adequate but with unusable WiFi

Good value

The receptionist was very rude, the room was clean but in poor condition, and the walls were so thin you could hear the conversation next door perfectly. The hotel is slightly outside of the city center but still within walkable distance. For the price we paid would have expected something much better - would not recommend.
