Katharinenhoefchen
from $ 69
Excellent
The hotel is lovely, and I would recommend it to those who are looking for a cozy family like atmosphere. Don't expect glance and glitter, but if you are looking for a quiet, clean and friendly place, this one may be for you. The hotel is located just opposite a medieval cathedral with beautiful wooden altars surrounded by centuries old oaks. From the hotel one can have easy walks in the city of Salzwedel, or take a car and visit nearby pretty north German villages and old cities. There are plenty of places within easy car drive where one can rent bike (or horse). The bike tour along the banks of river Elbe is recommended. The hotel has internet and TV. The parking is easy. The breakfast is splendid!!! Overall, I would recommend this place to those who are looking for simple but authentic and traditional German hospitality.
