What a great Therme with a very convenient hotel incorporated. The facilities in the Sauna complex were just perfect for a relaxing break.

The food was good, simple and affordable.

The staff were amazing, and a great place to visit.

I've spent a total of 16 days at this hotel during a business trip to Kerpen. I have to say that I was very satisfied with my stay.
The rooms are rather average, though quite spacious. Some of them are located on the 1st floor of the main building, and some in the neighbouring one. My room was equipped with a flat-screen Philips TV and a desk. The bathroom was quite large and equipped with a bath, though the lack of a shower curtain makes it impossible not to leave a mess on the floor when you're finished showering.
The breakfast is included in the price of the room. I found it rather OK. There's a selection of bread, bake rolls, cheese, cold meats, jams, marmalades, as well as cereal. You can also ask for some freshly prepared scrambled or fried eggs.
Last but not least, I found the sauna facilities very enjoyable. Although they may not be the newest, they are very well maintained and clean. There is a multitude of pools to choose from (with both warm and cold water, indoors and outdoors), two steam saunas, and seven dry saunas. The Aufguss sessions are held every hour in a small sauna on the ground level. Do keep in mind that you are expected to use the sauna/bath facilities naked.
The hotel and sauna are not very international and are clearly targeted at the German clientèle. I'm not sure whether the staff speaks English, as I was able to get around with my much-below-average German.

Cons :
1. Toiletries are not supplied every day.
2. The cleaning staff could be somewhat more thorough.
3. The beds are not the most comfortable.

All in all, if you want to try a genuine German sauna, by all means do stay here. If you're not a fan, though, you might want to look elsewhere.
