While driving through Germany in need of a place to eat and sleep, you can’t go wrong choosing Hotel Linden. Located a little ways south of Kassel, literally 2 minutes off A7, we found this little treasure of a family run hotel. The hotel is very cosy and the people were friendly and helpful. Although we arrived after the kitchen was closed for dinner we were directed to a small cheery restaurant within walking distance. Breakfast was good with a selection of eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, yoghurt and such. Everything you expect of a hotel breakfast. Linen table cloths and a lit candle made for a delightful morning. Our room had a door to a common porch which looked towards the highway yet the noise from the highway was nothing to keep you awake, and I’m a light sleeper. We even could charge the car using a normal plug. Remember to ask to pay for the charging. No pictures, but the pictures online are accurate.
