Camping Roca Grossa 

We used the euro camp website to book our caravan here for the week and had a good week. We ended up being there during the heatwave so I can say the aircon is amazing! Our caravan was kept at the perfect temp during siesta times. Due to being there during the heatwave we also paid to have WiFi for the week, one payment (I can’t remember how much but it was less than 20 euros) was enough for 3 devices to get on and the WiFi signal was great all week. The pool is nice and cool with lots of sunbeds around. No restrictions on swimwear so everyone was comfortable. Raquel who was our euro camp rep was lovely and spoke English, she had the caravan cleaned and ready at 11am so even though our booking wasn’t until 4pm we got to go in early. She also lent us a beach parasol for the week which was appreciated. Euro camp have a box of free items you can help yourself too so we were able to use a bag of charcoal for the bbq and borrow some games and at the end of the holiday we left fire lighters, half a bag of charcoal and snorkels, it’s nice knowing the next holiday makers are going to make full use of them. The caravan is plenty big enough as we had a 6 birth for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 older teens)and the outside sitting area is perfect for meals and drying washing. There is no oven but they did have a microwave, a gas hob and an outdoor bbq. The fridge/freezer was also big so we were able to keep plenty of water and fruit cool. The euro camp caravans are the top of a very steep hill that our hire car struggled to get up, so we made full use of the free tractor train the camp have to transport people up the hill. Calella is a lovely town with plenty of shops/restaurants including a McDonald’s (that do amazing gluten free burgers!), a few supermarkets are nearby- an Aldi, Lidl and Mercadona. We recommend buying the seasoned chicken skewers from the Mercadona and grilling them on the bbq- they were lovely with a salad and the potatoes already cooked at the Mercadona, the pistachio doughnuts were also delicious. The beach is also a short walk but very busy and the sand is more gritty rather than beachy but the sea was warm and we didn’t quite a few hours there. Overall it was a good holiday, it’s a good place to go to and have fun. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have young children as I think the steep walk with a pushchair would have been difficult, but older children who carry their own stuff is fine.
