To get to Le Malmousquin from airport: DON'T TAKE TAXI- REALLY EXPENSIVE! Easiest way: Free shuttle bus to airport train station 'Le Vitrolles/airport' then 10 mins train to Marseilles main station, St. Charles. Then get taxi to Le M.'quin (16 euros) OR buy a carte journee (5 euros) to get metro from St Charles SNCF to the Vieux port metro stop, then No. 83 bus,which drops you in Le Corniche Kennedy main road, 5 mins walk downhill from there,via steps. Apparently, Le Corniche is the posh area of Marseilles, there are indeed some grand villas out there & it's by the sea- only problem is the traffic on the road is horrendous, all the way along the beautiful coastline. Le Mal'quin is in an old refurbished house; 2nd floor apt is a well-arranged large bed-sit with kitchen, tiny bathroom, small sofa in TV area & own large balcony. Street views but rocky beach & coves 3 mins one way, high street with cafes & shops 3 mins the other way.
