Nice camping- for kids swimming pool wit slide  - we did kayak was very nice - pony for kids - lot of chade on the camping - food - dancing ect .. very nice famely camping !!! 

Ours is a story that is perhaps not typical for a campsite review, but it must be told. Firstly, because I promised - but secondly, and most importantly, because it is richly deserved. Forgive the length, but sometimes the whole truth is instructive.

In a mundane first segment, I will review the site itself. You will see why this is merely an entree later! It is a pleasant, reasonably small site on the quiet edge of Bresles, within easy walking distance to the patisserie and restaurants, but also moments from bucolic wooded strolls and so on in the other direction. A good location, then, with easy transport links to the larger Beauvais and its lake, a large supermarket nearby and with pretty villages and other things to see within a moderate drive. This could include anything from impressive Roman ruins and the place of WW1's armistice signing to the town where Van Gogh's lived out his last, highly productive if also highly troubled days [you can see some things he painted as well as his tomb, art fans].

The pitches are large, electric is available, the site is well-maintained. There is a bar that does some basic food – not as much as some places and asks you pre-order, but it is functional and certainly was a nice option. They also do cocktails and mocktails etc.; a nice little addition for some. They have themed nights and activities, particularly, though not exclusively, aimed at younger campers, which is a lovely touch because many places don’t do this. These include horse-riding, some kayaking, etc., as well as themed food evenings such as a paella night. 

For those who have bemoaned the facilities elsewhere, I can tell you that the pool is clearly a recent addition, and a great one - warm, a decent size and with the unexpected bonus [mostly for my children... mostly..!] of a genuinely good water-slide. The toilet and shower facilities are also clearly new and were immaculately clean throughout our time on site and well-provisioned. 
So far, so ‘good campsite’.

Now onto the more interesting part. Good site though it was, it is set apart by our other experience. In short, we had a disaster on what was to be the last night there. Our vehicle had a catastrophic, engine-killing failure about a mile from the campsite, and it turned out that our breakdown cover was not set up correctly and so we were refused to help in this. Needless to say, this has been awful and costly, but this was tempered by a lovely human experience.

We were in a desperate position for all sorts of reasons, as you can imagine - a perhaps unfixable vehicle stuck in France, two kids needing to return to the country, a dog who would need another vet visit if we didn’t return soon, jobs to return to, a medical issue meaning flying was not possible for the whole group… We’d already had a *lot* of help in sourcing a vet to do the appropriate pre-sailing verification from one of the owners, which was much appreciated – but we were now given more help. Despite this happening on a religious holiday during which many things shut, the owners desperately tried to help us in numerous ways. This is despite them being clearly very busy!

1.	Taking us around garages in the area without being asked, to see if any were open
2.	Driving us to the vehicle and having a look with another [also highly appreciated] guest, known by the owners to be a mechanic, who had been recruited to help
3.	Arranging for the owner’s son to tow our vehicle back to a safe place where it could at least wait for a while
4.	Arranging for someone I believe to have been either the mayor or a representative of them and a mechanic known from a local community business operator's group to come and have a look at the vehicle and have a chat with us (graciously gave us permission to leave the vehicle in situ for a period of time to get it sorted)
5.	Flexed the booking to allow us the enforced longer stay required

Honestly, the situation for us was and remains a real pain, but we did get home and the van also made its way back in the end (at hideous expense). But our spirits were warmed by the kindness of strangers, particularly those mentioned here – the owners and their son, the local mechanic and mayor (we think), etc. Even if our plight was an inconvenience to them, their hearts were of gold, and the assistance provided was just so kind. There was no obligation to do any of it, really. So we want to say again - thank you. Truly.

It’s a good site– but imagine, if you will, a 6th star being added on simply by the above-and-beyond helpful actions taken by those running it.

We visited this camping and really enjoyed the friendly hospitality of the camping owners Joannette and Jose. The accommodations are in excellent condition, clean and excellent services. There are many activities to do like swimming, ponys, cycling and we experienced kayaking on the river (including some adventures with the streaming water) with an excellent guide from the camping! The camping is well located and ideal for visiting the beautiful towns in the neighbourhood, like Beauvais or Chantilly and the Asterix park not far away. We will come back for sure!

I had a wonderful week of fun with a few friends of mine at this camping. The camping personnel is very friendly and at arrival we were surprised with a jacuzzi that had just finished at our camping spot!
The family that owns the camping is really mice and you can see that they enjoy the work they do:) Nature around the camping is great for hikes and it's only an hour from Versailles and Paris! The camping was clean and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

We stopped at this brilliant site in our camper van for 2 nights on way to Spain. The facilities were very clean and there was a great playground for our 2 boys :) The owners were very friendly and spoke very good English.
We had a couple of great nights sleep!

We love staying at Camping de la Trye and have been using it as a convenient stop over either to or from Calais for the past 5 years as it’s just a few hours drive away. The owners are very friendly and the campsite is great for the kids - swimming pool, playground with trampoline, and giant games by reception. At weekends in peak season they cook big communal meals  or the snack bar is open. There’s also a pizza takeaway 5 mins cycle away and this year new gas BBQs in various places across the campsite. We come in our camper van but there are lots of options for accommodation including some new tipis and cool looking camping pods which would be good for a longer stay. Each year the campsite is developing and we like it for it’s sunflowers 🌻 We will definitely be back again next year!

Good sized variety of pitches some shaded, part shade or, full sun. Some holiday statics  Extremely helpful and friendly couple.  Good services and facilities. Small swimming pool.

A campsite just the way we like it. Not too big, back to basics with owners who do their best for their guests.
It may not have been a new campsite, but it was well maintained. No litter lying around and clean sanitary facilities. It was checked regularly. If you leave it clean yourself, the next person can also enjoy clean facilities.
The pool wasn't big, but it was nice with water at a good temperature. There was a nice slide next to the pool. The campsite had a few nice playgrounds for the kids to play in. There were regular activities: yoga, aquarobics, paella/couscous and pizza night, mini market, dance night, etc.
There is a bread service, the greenery on the campsite is well maintained in my opinion, and there is a small stream running through the middle of the campsite, which I really like.
The only downside is the hot water and water pressure. When the hot water is used a lot, the boiler needs a little more time to refill. And when water is used in several places at the same time, the water pressure drops. I discussed this with the owners and they said they would look into it further. 

Conclusion: a campsite I would definitely return to if I were to go on vacation in the same region.

We booked for 2 nights and booked an extra night, kids had a lot of fun with friends and in the swimmingpool etc. Quiet in the evenings. Staf is working hard and is also always helpfull!

Amazing Experience

The people in charge here are very pleasant and laid back, no check-in forms to fill out, they let you find your own emplacement and trust you to say the correct number of nights when you leave. They volunteer helpful information like telling us that the night we arrived there was going to be a soiree until midnight so if we wished to avoid hearing the music we could camp in a more distant part of the site, but if we preferred to be closer to the toilets, we would hear the noise. On the whole the camp was quiet at night although there were some campers who were heard to depart very early in the morning and in the daytime we seemed to be in the flightpath for Beauvais Airport.
The facilities were good: a children's playground, outdoor exercise machines and a small swimming pool / sunbathing area. The sanitaires had hot water and good showers but the lavatories were mostly rather high off the ground [my feet were 4 inches off the floor and I am average height!] so, while being suitable for elderly people who have difficulty rising from a seated position, must have been difficult for children.  As with most French campsites, you need to remember to take toilet paper and soap with you t the sanitaires. 
Although the emplacements were good-sized, the majority were a long way away from the sanitaires. Value seemed good at 21 Euros [excluding tourist tax] for a couple camping in high season, including electricity.  There was also a lot of on-site accommodation: mobile homes, tipis etc..
Wifi available around the office.
On the Sunday night a Pizza van attended. 
The site is nicely landscaped. It is in a somewhat rural location with nature walks nearby and an easy walking distance into town.
