Casa Julia 

The location is fantastic for TU Delft and the Royal Delft Pottery museum. The walk into central Delft is around 2 km, but flat (of course, this being the Netherlands) and totally fine if you don't mind a walk. If you are new to the Netherlands, watch out for the bikes, especially since this is a university area. Learn that red pavement means that a bike can soundlessly appear without warning from any direction at high speed. Also motor scooters. I felt safer walking around Beijing. The rooms are simple and clean. When I arrived, my room contained some free chips and lemonade, which was nice. Wifi is good, The breakfast is fantastic, going well beyond the typical dutch hotel breakfast to include scrambled eggs, bacon, and hot sausages. Tolerable coffee. Also, lots of fruit, yoghurt, breads, cheeses, cold meats, etc. Sometimes they bake special items, cookies or whatever, and the smell of fresh baked goods comes floating up the stairs to wake you up. The aforementioned stairs are steep (of course, this being the Netherlands). I am normally fine with stairs, happy to run up 10 flights, but these were steep enough to slightly trigger my fear of heights. If you have any mobility issues, I suggest asking for a room on the ground floor (assuming they have them, I did not check). Staff are friendly and helpful. They are gone in the evening, but you can contact them in an emergency. The breakfast room is available in the afternoon/evening as a lounge, and may have left-over food items from breakfast. At least once during my stay, there were still some cookies in the evening. When I checked out they didn't hand me a receipt, and I didn't think about it, so that added some complexity to my expense claims, but that was my only (very minor) complaint.
