Good hotel. Very good buffer breakfast. Comfortable clean room. I had no problem. Very nice family run place. I liked it! Location is good also close to Hammeren castle

We stayed at Hotel Hammersø for a week. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was big, clean and comfortable, with a good sized private bathroom. The furniture design has been kept in an old style, making it very pleasant and providing a warm welcoming feeling. The breakfast was very good and the staff made coffee / tea pots upon request (each serving enough for 3-5 cups). The location was perfect, allowing for beautiful day hikes or bike rides in very beautiful area. Hotel Hammersø is a hotel we can well imagine staying at again.

The hotel is lovely, in a great location, and the service was excellent.  When I was there the weather was very warm and humid.   My room had a window but for safety reasons did not open very wide and it was difficult to cool the room down in the evening.  Other than that, everything was perfect.  My luggage did not arrive with me on my flight and the staff went above and beyond to help me locate it and have it delivered to me that night.

This is a classic family hotel - in a style like no other. Full of memorabilia from the owners family throughout the years. Really clean, and with fantastic views over the Hammersø - and with fabulous walks around the lake, and up to Hammershus.

Nice view from room. However, room not as clean as it should have been and not cleaned daily. Food was good.

It is a typical European hotel. Quiet location. Ok breakfast. Dining room booked up, had to go into village for dinner

Hotel Hammerso is situated just next to a small lake and just next to the impressive cliffs to the north of the island of Bornholm.
The Hotel Hammerso is nlce and clean. The staff is helpfull and offers fine service. The restaurant serve a very fine breakfast and dinners.

Arrived Bornholm mid Sunday afternoon all tourist offices closed and therefore it was a case of knocking on doors. This hotel was in an area with several hotels and was beautifully positioned near a lake and the Hammershus Castle. The hotel has no lift, our 2nd floor bedroom was a nice room overlooking a lake and the bags were carried up for us. Breakfast was adequate but not over exciting. We did not avail of the no choice dinner on any of the 3 nights because the no choice on offer was not to our taste. Most guests were of a certain age and older!

Where were the children?

If you ever travel to Bornholm and stay in Allinge-Sandvig area, STAY AWAY from Hotel Hammersø holiday apartments. It looks tempting on the website, the location is magnificient. But this hotel is a master of cheating! They have spent all their money on the main hotel and the restaurant to attract rich people, while they put budget tourists in hell at Annex 2. But there are many things that they don’t say to us when we book.

· Each apartment at Annex 2 is IN FACT JUST A ROOM with a bathroom.
· On a rainy day, THE ROOF LEAKS and would rain on your bed, suitcases, tables, allover! And you would be homeless in the middle of the night! (and Bornholm is known for its heavy downpours!).
· The garbage containers are forever overflowing, stinking and inviting flies. THERE IS NO CONCEPT OF “TAKING AWAY GARBAGE”!
· The parking space provided with the rented apartments is inadequate. THE NEIGHBOR-LADY WOULD YELL AT YOU and curse you, if you try to park your car in that area!
· Kitchen practically cannot be called a “kitchen”. It’s IN FACT LIKE A “TOY-KITCHEN” with a tiny hot plate. Facilities are scanty with a ridiculous microscopic refrigerator.
· HAS NO VENTILATION AT ALL. After 24 hours, everything starts dripping with moisture. The bathroom floor (no bathmat) stays so wet round the clock, that you would feel like you are entering tropical rainforest!
· Bathroom is 100 YEARS OLD AND BROKEN.
· A tiny TV up the wall WITHOUT REMOTE! And full of Swedish and German TV-channels. (Bornholm is Denmark for Christ’s sake!)
· The bed is awful. Even homeless people on the curb.
· The meals at the restaurant are so expensive and worthless that it can be called highway robbery.
· The swimming pool is dirty, stinky and icecold!

But they don’t tell you these! So, watch out! DO NOT PATRONIZE these cheats!
