We stayed for a few days and were sorry that we had not booked for more days. Villa Lorenra is a small gem tugged away in a secret graden - just a few minutes walk from the centre of Hondarribia. You feel welcome from you arrive till you leave. The rooms are very nice and modern. The garden is a nice place to spend some time dazing away in the shadow of a three. We enjoyed every minute and will be back. One thing: The Wifi does not really work - but do you need it? (there is a PC in the main area you can use)

Boy, I love this place, it's full of carefully considered design queues at every turn. The owner & staff are extremely friendly & helpful. The whole place has a sophisticated vibe in a very chilled way which relaxes you the minute you walk through the door. The gardens have a similarly holistic calming feel which is strengthened by the fact that it's in a quiet residential area just a short walk from the commercial & beach area's. The Villa Lorenea typifies & supports the whole feel of Hondarribia which is that of a smart, cool chic resort, very clean, no yobish behaviour & a wealth of really really good tapas bars. The breakfast served at Villa Lorenea is simple & of good quality. This hotel is definitely on my must return list.

We were looking for typical basque rural stay and we found it! It is located in a really peaceful place, close to port and only 10 min from city center.
The hotel is really comfy and nice... Breakfast is delicious, with homemade products  ... Every detail counts here! You can take hot coffee with chocolates every time you want. Rooms are small, but really well distributed, with also beautiful sights of the area.
Stay rooms and garden and really good decorated and comfortable! It is a must have breakfast in the garden, surrounded by this stunning nature!!

Was a very quiet street with private parking behind hotel. Room was very modern, sunny with a veranda overllooking garden. Offered easy walking access to the beaches, around town and to the meany Tapas Bars. Our hostess helped with places to visit, Maps directions & etc

The hotel is situated in a part of town consisting of large houses in even larger gardens, a very quiet area, with little traffic, even though it is only five minutes’ walk from the centre of Hondarribia, and all the bars, restaurants, beach and harbour. The only drawback of this is that it isn’t easy to find, especially when the route recommended by GPS was blocked due to roadworks.

Once there, though, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the hotel. Enclosed parking for guests, a beautiful lounge/reception area and welcoming staff, and a well equipped room. The bedroom was on the small side, but big enough, ours had windows on two sides with a small balcony running around them, a very powerful shower and extremely comfortable bed. The only downside was that the soundproofing was not good, especially for the plumbing, but it didn’t cause us any major problem. Also, there is no air conditioning, but when we stayed, the outside temperature was touching 36deg, but inside was comfortable, and we had no difficulty sleeping, even with the windows closed, so not a problem.

Breakfast was served in the garden, under the magnolia tree, and was more than adequate, with fresh juice, cereals, yoghurt, toast and eggs prepared to order, if required.

Overall a very pleasant two night stay, at a reasonable price, so we can highly recommend Villa Lorenea
