Camping Pepe 

We stayed in Oliva Nova during August 2018 The two trendy beach bars (Sunset Beach Club and Oli Ba Ba) were an awful combination of pretentiousness and hideous noise from excessively large music systems. For a beach area that prides itself on protection of the local flora and fauna (particularly within the sand dunes) this level of constant racket was totally unacceptable and unexpected. Even my Daughter (a great fan of Magaluf/discos/clubbing) thought the constant noise was excessive. So, it’s not just the miserable spouting’s of a middle-aged guy more attuned to finer tastes (I’m a hard rock fan after all 😊). We were despairing, where could we go? Like an oasis appearing in a desert, we bumped into Camping Pepe located half way between the aforementioned noise zones. A little shabbier, a little less polished but full of good people and staff wanting to do the best for you. This bar/restaurant has a fabulous view straight out across the beach to the sea. The drinks and food were very good indeed. If you’re in the area, don’t be ‘put off’ by the ‘Camping Pepe’ name. Just try it and you may understand why we returned every day of our week-long holiday.
