Clare and David are amazing, generous hosts. Our accommodation was outstanding - very clean, modern and extremely comfortable. Breakfast selection is 5 star and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a peaceful stay with fabulous views and walks on the Isle of Skye you couldn’t find a better place

Outstanding b&b- more like a luxury hotel room. Outstanding, lovely, friendly and caring hosts-Claire and Dave really looked after us and treated us like house guests. Thanks for the amazing muffins, brilliant breakfasts and super comfy bedroom-not to mention the off the beaten track insider touristy tips and great company. Location is spectacular in Glendale and perfect for reaching all parts of the island. Give Leo and Harley a cuddle for us x

Wonderful stay at Braeview - this is a great b & b. Claire and Dave are excellent hosts - nothing is too much trouble. Tea and cake when you arrive; brilliant breakfast; a load of washing done; lots of information ahead of time including restaurant recommendations so we had made reservations and didn’t miss out. Room was well laid out and thought about, contained everything we could have needed, slept brilliantly due to super comfy bed and proper black out blinds. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

We stayed here for 3 nights in May. Whilst remote, it was the perfect choice to explore Skye from. Thanks to Covid, the trip was 2 years in the planning to execution! Claire was a pleasure to deal with from initial booking to when we arrived, accommodating us and our revised itinerary due to having reschedule from 2020. Claire and Dave were delightful hosts. They were helpful and informative, giving us tips on what to do, what to see and where to go and not go, to maximise our time on Skye. We chose to have supper there 2 of the 3 nights - a good move, as Claire's cooking was fantastic. We ate at The Three Chimneys on the other night and Claire kindly gave us a lift there and back. The room was perfect, great attention to detail. The black out blinds were the best I have ever encountered! The ensuite shower was a good size too and the towelling robes a welcome addition. Dave was in the music industry at one time and had some great tales to tell and an impressive collection of guitars. We were sorry to leave but we took away some of Claire's home made muffins, home made marmalade and her knitted baby hat and bootees gift set. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for all your help making it a such a great introduction to Skye for us.

Simply amazing.
From the start of our stay through to when we HAD to leave our stay was amazing. Claire & Dave are brilliant hosts and so friendly and have great ideas of where you need to visit whilst on the island.
Our room was so comfortable and relaxing and there was an area downstairs where you are invited to use at your leisure. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, cereal, toast and any cooked breakfast you required and it saw us through to our evening meal (although Claire's homemade muffins from breakfast which she wrapped up for us to take out helped)
We will definitely be staying again and highly recommend Brae view to anyone.
Thank you Claire & Dave

My friend and I stayed for three nights at Brae View. Before arriving Claire had sent me some restaurant suggestions, which came in really helpful. Staying there Claire and Dave made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was varied and hearty. And some baked treats were provided! The room was spotless too. I can’t recommend it enough.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in May 2021 and can safely say this is an excellent B&B from the quality of the rooms and food to the way you are looked after, nothing is too much trouble for Claire and Dave. We would genuinely recommend staying here.

Stayed here for four nights from 22/9/20. Excellent En suite room with quality bed linden. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were fabulous - seriously you don’t need to eat again until evening! Believe me and I like eating! We were offered (and we accepted) evening 2 course meals at £20 per head which were also excellent and great value. Wine etc can be bought from the store next door. The host Clare really looked after us very well. She also provides home made cakes etc and knits some lovely individual woolie hats and socks. Her husband Dave had a career in the Rock music industry so we enjoyed post dinner chats about life on the road!
When we go back to Skye we will book with them again. Great people, great location - just superb!

Booked this b&b before covid 19. Fortunately we were still able to visit thanks to govt policies. Perfect location especially for the sights on the West Side of the Island. Very quiet and peaceful. Small general stores next door.
The bed and breakfast had two rooms. But again I think due to vovid we were the only guests. The room we occupied had a coffee/tea machine and tv. Also ensuite shower and toilet.
The owners Dave and Claire were lovely. Very helpful and informative. Nothing was too much for them. The breakfast was awesome. In the evening my wife and i would spend the evening in the conservatory drinking wine and chatting away with the hosts. It seemed as if we knew each other for years. We stayed gor 4 nights and never watched any television lol.
Thoroughly recommend the b&b and it is made special by the hosts.
We have travelled around most of the world and this little beauty can hold its head high in comparison to some hotels we've stayed in. We'll done Claire and Dave.

We have just returned from an amazing 3 nights stay at Brae View and can’t recommend it enough! It was perfect. From the moment we arrived we had first class service and instantly felt comfortable and right at home with the warm welcome from Claire and Dave. The house and rooms were beautifully furnished and clean and we felt extra safe with the Covid-19 measures that had been followed. Claire had even made handmade masks for us both, which was a wonderful extra touch. Our room was truly luxurious and a lot of thought and attention to detail had gone into the design and comfort of the room. We particularly loved the fabulous bathtub in our en suite.

The B&B is located in a beautiful area with brilliant views on your doorstep and a short 15 minute drive from Neist Point which is a must see. Claire and Dave were fab at giving tips on the best walks and scenic spots to visit during our stay. They also lent us walking guides and binoculars to use on our day trips which was a lovely touch.

The meals cooked for us were amazing and perfectly cooked and presented by Claire. One of our favourite touches were the amazing homemade biscuits, flapjacks and muffins Claire provided each day. Breakfast included fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and a full English breakfast followed by toast with homemade Jam and marmalade (so good we bought some to take home). A homemade muffin was also included at breakfast which we always took on our day out. We also opted for Claire’s homemade evening meals (which included a main and an incredible desert) . They were absolutely delicious to come back to each day after exploring the island. Particularly as we did not need to worry about booking a restaurant reservation and Claire went above and beyond to be flexible around what times we wanted to eat. Extremely recommend this, especially if you fancy going out all day for walks around the island.

Easily the best B&B we have stayed in and we can’t wait to book our next stay! Jonny and Luisa.

Four night stay

perfect bed and breakfast

Perfect stay in an amazing B&B

We have just returned from a very happy 4 night stay in Brae View, a wonderful B&B in a scenic location. A warm welcome was given by Claire and Dave and their two friendly dogs. The house is beautifully furnished and our lovely room with coffee machine plus biscuits and spacious bathroom was so very comfortable. Bathrobes, toiletries, slippers, sleep spray and even masks and antibacterial items were so thoughtfully provided. Our breakfast each day was absolutely delicious with fantastic fresh fruit salad, juice, cereals, yoghurt, perfectly cooked full breakfast and toast with home made jam. Claire's home baked muffins, flapjacks and almond biscuits were excellent and really appreciated. It was very pleasant to chat to Claire about many things whilst having breakfast and also gain information about interesting places to visit. Everything was perfect.
