The Foria House by House In Naples 

Spent a week here on our trip to Naples. First off, the owner was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. He knows about the same amount of English as we knew Italian. Not a whole lot, but enough to get by. The room we had was very large by European standards. We found the bed comfy. We were right on the street and it could be noisy at times. My advice would to make your day exploring the city as full as possible, and you will be so tired at night that you will sleep throgh the noise like I did. The only downside we found is that the shower curtain kept sticking to us when we took a shower, because the shower was so small. We ate breakfast every morning (when we weren’t in a rush) on the back balcony overlooking the beautiful courtyard. You forget that you are in the city. There were a variety of pastries to choose from that we had with the most delicious capicino that the owner made for us. While we really enjoyed the place, the location might give others pause. It’s not in a touristy part of the city. However just walk a few minutes and you are in an area that will give you a true local Naples feel. The entrance to the b&b is a bit hard to find. It’s through the gate and at the top of the stairs on the second floor on your right. The owner was there to greet us, and it’s a good idea to have his number if you do have any issues finding the place. If you are on a budget and aren’t afraid of exploring the true local culture, I feel this is a good place to stay. If you have children, or are overwhelmed easily, then you might want to stay at a more traditional hotel, as Thr city of Naples can be overwhelming in itself.
