We stayed at Hotel Praga and honestly had a lovely time. The location is great, nice and quiet but still close to the Metro, and one of the buses stops literally right outside the front door which made getting around so easy. Breakfast was the real star though, a genuinely generous spread all cooked fresh, and the coffee was very good too. Our room was a good size, nothing over the top but really comfy and spotlessly clean the whole time we were there. The only tiny thing was the shower presure, which was a bit weak, more of a gentle trickle than a proper blast after a long day walking around the city. But honestly it did not spoil anything, the staff were extremely friendly and the whole place felt so welcoming that we would happily come back. A very perfect little base for exploring Madrid, five stars from us.
