Am Hehlentor 

We stayed one night in this hotel with breakfast booked through an on line hotel site for £82.00. You can book a room only however, or pay €7.00pp for breakfast on the day. The hotel did say that a small discount is possible if you email them directly to make a booking. The hotel is located just off the B3 that passes by the heart of the town, and it is conveniently placed at the edge of the gorgeous Old Town, which was perfect for exploring by foot. Please note that it is on the corner of a One Way street however. The hotel, like all of the surrounding buildings, looks magnificent in its historic timber framed majesty and while the interior might look a little bit old fashioned, it is immaculate and very well maintained with no signs of any wear or neglect. We received a very warm welcome from the owner who could not do enough to ensure that her guests were comfortable. Free parking was directly across the road, which was very convenient for this little pedestrianised town. Our room was wonderful and quite large with all of the amenities and comforts that you would hope for, including tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary sparkling water. TV and hair dryer. The shower room was well appointed and the shower cubicle was large (except for its sliding door) and the water temperature and pressure were superb. The hotel provides free wifi in all of the rooms and a quiet courtyard for guests to sit outside if they want to smoke or enjoy a drink from the 'Hof' fridge that acts as a 'trust bar' (settle up the following day). A breakfast buffet is available in their attractive dining room, which, in addition to offering various types of rolls and bread, cheese, cold cuts, boiled eggs etc, also includes some warm fare too and is very well stocked up with all sorts. Pots of Coffee are delivered to your table and a wide selection of teas are available too. All in all, a very impressive spread. We would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again the next time we visit Celle.
