This guest house sets the standard for all others. A beautiful location - our spacious room, No' 1, had a balcony overlooking the Mosel, and the whole place was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Fresh tasty breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff too. There is no bar, but there is a fridge on the ground floor working on the honesty principle, with chilled local wine and beer at extremely good prices - €6.50 average for excellent wine. With glasses in the room and a beautiful view, who needs to go out for a drink? When you do go out for dinner, it's an easy short walk into town where there's a good variety of local restaurants, or a short drive to places like Bernkastel for an even wider choice. Thoroughly recommended, and at around £55 per night for the two of us including breakfast, fabulous value too. The only possible downside I would point out is that the property has a spiral staircase to the upper floors, which might prove awkward for those of restricted mobility
