Waldschlchen

Charming little hotel, very pleasant outdoors area where you can have a meal or hoist a beer. Try the local Detmold beer. I believe they recently remodeled the rooms, as our room was very nice and modern, excellent shower. The photos on their website don't do it justice. Breakfast was enormous, all the bread and rolls, cheeses, meats and jam. We couldn't do it justice, it was such a generous platter. We were on the top floor, under the roof. They're about a ten minute walk from the Externsteine, an unusual stone outcropping said to be imbued with mystical powers. Nice short hike through the woods to see them. We had dinner out on their patio, delightful assortment of schnitzel preparations.
