The positives:  The room and the shared bathrooms were VERY clean.  The breakfast was quite good for the money (2 euros each)...bread, meats, cheeses, spreads & eggs.  The woman at breakfast was friendly and tolerated my poor German skills fairly well.  Very inexpensive compared to hotels in Dachau.

The negatives:  Our room smelled badly.  I think it was a combination of sweat, beer & stale cigarette smoke. Airing out the room did not help.  The restaurant can get very loud...this is not the place to be on a Friday night if you want/need to sleep early.  Between the noise, the smokyness waifing into the room & the smell. I did not sleep well.  Upon arrival at the Gasthaus, we could not find anyone to check us in.  Finally found the cook in the kitchen...he called someone and got us into a room.  He did not tolerate my poor German very well.  We were the only overnight guests, so breakfast was a bit awkward (the other people eating were employees).

So why would you stay there?  Because it's cheap!  56 euros for a DZ with shared bath, including breakfast.  I couldn't find anything in Dachau sub 80.  

For the price, it was sufficient for a night, and for those with a less sensitive nose who don't mind noise (or would like to add to the noise!), I can see this being an awesome spot.  It just wasn't my favorite.  Plus it's farther from the concentration camp than the allude to on their website.
