This town of Offenburg had more action going on during this beautiful July weekend than could ever be imagined. The restaurants we full and the loads of people made this an interesting place to walk around where there were no cars allowed - a very large 14(?) block area. So we tried to get a hotel in the middle of everything and finally found this hotel that seemed pricey at the time but turned out to probably be one of their top rooms as it had a veranda to stop outside and enjoy that the others didn't. I assume that the entire place had been recently redone by someone who knew what they were doing and did a great job. Although no air conditioning, it was not needed even in this beautiful July weather - which is probably what attracted most of the people to this area - a special part of the city where no traffic was allowed. It was really something to see and I assume that it will be like this every day of the summer season.
