Hotel Koos 

I stayed here for 2 nights in August 2021. I booked via booking dot com and the room was very well priced compared to everything else available when I booked last minute. I was travelling by public transport so while the hotel is in a village, it is accessible by public transport. Check in was easy, not sure if the staff speak English. The hotel is comfortable but a little bit old fashioned in terms of decor - not a problem, just an observation. The room I had was furnished simply but had what I needed (hairdryer was available if you asked). The bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was standard European buffet with plenty of fresh bread and rolls, eggs, cheese, ham, yoghurts cereal etc. I ate there one night, the menu was fairly traditionally German, and the food was nice. There were no/minimal vegetarian options. The hotel has a car park, and if you're on foot, it is max 5 min walk to the train station for the Rasende Roland steam train which goes every 2hours and gets you to Binz, and also the connecting local train to Bergen auf Rugen (buy your ticket on the train for this one). There are some buses too but I didn't use. Also there's a Netto supermarket diagonally opposite which might be handy. For the price it was a good value and convenient place to stay.
